National Skin Cancer Centres is a unique medical practice, purpose-built and dedicated to delivering effective, quick and low-cost access to diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers and related conditions. Working with primary care physicians who have a special interest in skin cancer, we currently operate eight centres across Australia with plans to expand into new locations.

The Role

The Darling Downs Skin Cancer Centre has been purpose-built to deliver the highest standard of care in skin cancer medicine and is staffed by an experienced team of doctors expertly trained in dermoscopy for accurate diagnoses. 

Currently we are seeking either a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to work on a casual basis on Fridays (5 to 8 hours) and to provide leave coverage as required.

As a nurse in our practice, you will be responsible for:

  • Surgical assistance to our clinicians with excision and graft procedures
  • Wound management and the removal of sutures
  • Sterilisation of instruments
  • Stock control
  • Assistance with community promotional events

Our terms and conditions are in accordance with the national  Nurses Award 2010 (we pay 10% above the prescribed rate).

  • qualifications as a Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse

  • experience in dressings and wound care
