The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, friendly Promotional Ambassador to join our team on a casual basis.

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and working closely with our regional Practice Managers and promotional nurses, this role is responsible for implementing targeted campaigns to educate the community on skin health in order to grow our patient database.

Our current campaign entails offering free skin health assessments at retail outlets and community events (using the Reveal Imager operated by one of our nurses) and converting prospectives into patients (by booking in full skin checks at one of our centres). The key responsibilities of the Promotional Ambassador will entail: 

  • Coordinating and attending campaigns (approximately two per month) in the Melbourne area
  • Assisting the Manager, Marketing to identify future sites, including on-site research and review
  • Undertaking ad-hoc marketing activities, including mail-outs, follow-up calls and emails 
  • Reporting on success of each campaign (e.g., number of checks completed and conversion rate)
  • Positioning National Skin Cancer Centres as a sincere and reputable provider of skin cancer education and community health. 

Work will be rostered on an as needs basis but we anticipate the average work over an eight week period would entail (approximately):

  • Sixteen days out on location, i.e. four separate promotion campaigns (4 days per campaign, 8:30am-4.30 pm per day) over a two month period
  • Four days pre and post campaign preparation (e.g., 1/2 day before each campaign to prepare kit and 1/2 day after each campaign for data entry)
  • Four days over the two months to undertake site investigations/reporting and complete follow up calls/emails

  • previous promotional or sales experience (desirable)

  • strong communication and interpersonal skills, including an influential phone manner
  • high attention to detail
  • mature and sensitive approach when dealing with prospective patients
  • a "can do" attitude
